This year we're fortunate enough to welcome Kevin Black and his Band to the stage for our cook-off event, Sunday May 16th. However, even before Black and his band take the stage, we have another terrific band appearing to help get everyone's toes tapping and gastric juices a'percolatin'.  Come for the fine cookin' but stay for the great music!

Since 1987, the Zydeco Dots have been performing throughout the Gulf Coast region, spreading a little musical joy at every stop along the way. The Zydeco Dots perform well over 100 gigs a year at festivals, private parties and night clubs and always keep the crowds dancing and begging for more. They are multi-year winners of the annual Houston Press Music Awards "Best Zydeco Band". The Zydeco Dots are an incredible band to watch and an even better band to shake your tail feathers to on the dance floor. Be sure to wear your most comfortable dancing shoes because when the Dots start playing, you wont be able to stay in your seat.

One of Houston's favorite Texas rock and blues band, The Guzzlers are sure to bring the fun to any party.  With a big voice and a bigger personality, Wildman Dave and his fellow musical phenoms bring a stellar show sure to keep your toe tapping.  Sing along with the band to some of your favorites and they cover songs from the late 70's and 80's.  Regular staples of industry night events held at Capone's, the Guzzlers are favorites of the oil and gas industry scene and have been providing hours of great music and even better entertainment since their days at the Magnolia Bar and Grill.  The Guzzlers are guaranteed to put on a fantastic show and ensure that the party does not have a chance to slow down.

New Orleans Saints Cheerleaders!

You know what's great for a cook-off and even better for a round of golf? If you answered "Cheerleaders!" go to the head of the class. Really though, is there any activity that isn't improved by the addition of beautiful young ladies who are professional smilers and enthusiastic supporters? (We're willing to bet the Academic Decathalon would be a lot more popular if they had a cheerleading squad: "Arnie! Arnie! He's our man! If he can't find the molecular density of cobalt, no one can!")

So we welcome the lovely Saints Cheerleaders, "The Saintsations", present at the tournament and cook-off event ready for photos, autographs, and always handy with a smile like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. These beauties will help to cheer us all on while representing Louisiana - the home of LACAP. The Saintsations are comprised of dedicated young women who are physically fit, talented in dance and cheer, and are able to present themselves in a professional manner. The Saintsations are influential role models to the youth in Louisiana, and select women that are committed to leading a healthy, productive lifestyle.
